Strife announces 3 new heroes!

S2Games announced 3 new heroes yesterday. All that was officially revealed was their names, splash art, and a brief clip of them in game. Not much information was released, and what was shared was only in a teaser trailer video. Click Read More for my full summary.

Blizzard MOBA "Heroes of the Storm" Exiting Alpha

Blizzard posted a News article via their "Battle.net" client yesterday, stating that the Technical Alpha was reaching it's final phases. According to the article, on September 22nd the in game shop will be shut down. In order to compensate for this, Blizzard is adding all the current 29 heroes to the "free to play" rotation. After one week (September 29th), Blizzard will be taking the game offline. They give no exact estimate as to when it will come back, saying it will be "offline for more than a week of extended maintenance." At this point, all accounts will be reset and moved to the account owner's home sever region, linking them to their Battle.net accounts. Any real money spent by players will be fully refunded to their Battle.net accounts.

While the article does not explicitly state this, I feel it is safe to assume that when the game comes back from the "Extended Maintenance," it will be put into the Beta stages. Whether this is an open or closed beta, however, remains to be seen.

Grand Opening

Welcome to the (not so) grand opening of Mid-Lane Madness, a blog all about MOBA style games. On this blog, you will find:

  • Tips and tricks to help you play your best
  • Patch discussions/analysis
  • My (our?) opinions and thoughts on new heroes/champions and other changes.
Some games that will be covered in particular include:
I'd like to be able to cover Smite as well, but unfortunately I currently have a macintosh computer. I do not feel comfortable writing about a game that I can't even play. I am presently saving for a gaming computer, which should be able to run Smite without a problem, as well as stream gameplay smoothly.

GL, HF, and don't feed!
